Who handles your information
Deployed Consultancy Ltd operates DCshop and is responsible for the personal information used to run the shop. Company number: 14702668. Registered office: 1 Brodawel Drefach, Llanelli, Dyfed, Wales, SA14 7BP. Contact shop@deployed-consultancy.com about privacy or your information.
Information and purposes
We use the contact details, delivery address, selected equipment, order references and messages you provide to answer enquiries, prepare proposals, fulfil orders, take payment and provide support. We do not ask for card details in contact forms or equipment notes.
Steps requested before a purchase and fulfilling a contract are the basis for enquiries, proposals and orders. We retain necessary accounting records to meet legal obligations. Protecting accounts, preventing misuse and handling disputes are legitimate business purposes. Order contact details are not treated as marketing consent.
Services used to operate the shop
The shop is hosted on our VPSDime server. Revolut processes card payments through its payment service; DCshop does not store your full card number or security code. Resend delivers transactional emails. Relevant recipient, delivery and equipment details are provided to our fulfilment supplier, Schaart Communications, and the carrier, including NovaPost for the offered Ukraine services.
Contact-form information is saved in our private back office and relayed through Telegram to our private business recipient so we can reply. Submitted enquiries, reviews and orders can retain approximate connection location, network operator and reported browser information for 90 days. Telegram notifications can include approximate connection location. Local IP lookup datasets are used; we do not store raw IP addresses with these records. Avoid including payment credentials, passwords or radio encryption keys in enquiries or notes.
If you request EU business VAT treatment, we send your VAT number, legal company name and registered address to the European Commission’s VIES service for checking. We keep the submitted identity, returned result and check date privately with the order for tax and accounting evidence. Missing or mismatched results require review; they do not establish wrongdoing.
If you use address autocomplete, the search text is sent to the Photon address service. You can enter an address manually instead. NovaPost pickup searches use the shop’s local carrier directory.
Saving and sharing
Essential browser storage remembers your theme and basket link. Proposal and order links allow access to the record they identify; keep private edit and payment links confidential. A view-only proposal link can be shared and revoked independently.
Abandoned baskets are scheduled for removal 14 days after their last saved activity. Unused, unconverted proposals are scheduled for removal after 30 days. Removal runs periodically, and existing drafts receive a transition period when these limits are introduced. Converted orders, unresolved payments, pending review notifications and records needed for a dispute or legal obligation are handled separately; they are not erased as abandoned drafts.
Aggregate site statistics
Our shop server counts successful requests for public pages and requested product specifications to help us understand demand and improve the shop. It keeps daily totals for page and specification requests, approximate connection countries and cities/regions, network operators and autonomous system numbers, published Apple Private Relay/Tor exit-list match categories, broad device and browser categories, site language and referral categories. Separate country-level breakdowns show these categories alongside requested public pages. Repeat loads count separately. These statistics do not identify individual visitors or join their browsing history.
There are no analytics cookies, browser identifiers, fingerprints or individual browsing histories. Public pages can send an anonymous summary when a visible period ends, containing only the public page, rounded visible duration and counts of fixed interactions such as opening specifications, changing filters, scrolling and following public navigation. Hidden-tab time is excluded; each visible period is capped at 30 minutes and rounded down to five seconds. Reports can be missing or automated and do not establish a person or verified attention. No form values, search text or private URLs are included. Request metadata is reduced to separate aggregate categories: IP addresses are used transiently for local country/city/network and published relay-list lookups, and browser headers for broad device categories. Customer IP addresses are not sent to a lookup provider. Analytics does not save raw IP addresses, full browser headers, referrer URLs, query or search text, form contents, or private order and payment links. Categories are not combined into individual profiles. Network locations may be inaccurate or describe a relay exit rather than the customer. Named list checks cover Apple Private Relay and Tor, not every VPN; no listed match does not establish that a proxy is absent. New connection-detail totals have a visible coverage start; older totals are not retroactively enriched.
Our legitimate interest in understanding and improving this shop is the basis for this limited processing; we minimise the information used and retain only aggregate daily counts for up to 400 days. Signed-in owner sessions, prefetch requests and requests carrying Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals are excluded. Existing page-view counters exclude declared bots. Separate new anonymous counters distinguish verified search crawlers, other declared automation, browser-like possible-human requests and unknown traffic; crawler verification uses locally cached official Google/Bing IP ranges. Neither browser-like requests nor interaction reports prove that a person is present. Contact shop@deployed-consultancy.com about these statistics or to object to processing. The owner dashboard also summarises existing saved baskets, proposals and order statuses to identify work awaiting attention; inactivity is not treated as proof that someone left. Unsaved in-page mode choices and individual browsing journeys are not measured. Earlier optional page-view totals may be retained as aggregates; former browser and session identifiers have been removed from the active analytics store.
Order connection details
When an order is submitted or its card payment is opened, we retain limited connection information privately with the order for up to 90 days to support order handling, account protection and disputes. This includes approximate connection country, region and city, network operator and autonomous system number, any match to published Apple Private Relay or Tor exit lists, broad device and operating system, reported browser version, declared language preferences, request stage and time, and lookup source dates.
IP addresses are used transiently for local lookups; these order details do not store raw IP addresses, complete browser headers, GPS coordinates, fingerprints or browsing histories. We do not send customer IP addresses to a geolocation service. Location describes a network endpoint and may be inaccurate or reflect a relay rather than the customer. Header details are declarations, and a service-list match does not establish who is using a connection. No fraud score or automated adverse decision is made from these details. Separate aggregate site statistics remain anonymous. Necessary order, accounting and payment records have their own retention periods; backup copies follow their separate review and recovery cycle.
Other retention and service copies
We keep other enquiry, order, payment and support information only for the time needed for its purpose and applicable accounting, warranty, dispute or legal requirements. We review information when the purpose ends rather than treating every message as an accounting record.
Email, payment, Telegram and backup copies can have separate retention requirements. We do not promise that deleting a shop draft immediately deletes all service or backup copies. Contact us for the retention details relevant to your record.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for access, correction or deletion of your personal information, or object to or request restrictions on certain uses. Portability and other rights depend on the applicable circumstances. We may need to confirm your identity and retain information where an obligation or justified unresolved matter requires it.
Service providers may process information outside your country. Contact us for information about the relevant transfers and safeguards. You can raise a concern with us or complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or the relevant data-protection authority.
